The classic philips avent bottle was found to significantly reduce the duration of irritability by approximately 28 minutes per day compared to other bottles (46 min vs 74 min, p = 0.05), especially during the night.
The air passes into the bottle, not into the baby's belly thanks to the exclusive anti-colic system. The teat has a special built-in valve that flexes letting the air pass through the bottle, thus avoiding the formation of vacuum.
