VISUTRIN 1 MG/ML EYE DROPS SOLUTION
Therapeutic indications
Hyperemia, itching, burning, conjunctival edema.
Dosage and method of use
Dosage Apply 2 drops in each eye two or three times a day. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Contraindications
• Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients listed in paragraph 6.1. VISUSTRIN must not be used by subjects with glaucoma or other serious eye diseases and in children under three years of age.
Side effects
The use of VISUSTRIN can sometimes cause pupillary dilation, systemic absorption effects (hypertension, cardiac disorders, hyperglycemia), increased intraocular pressure, nausea, headache. Special warnings
In case of persistence or worsening of symptoms after a short period of treatment, consult your doctor; in any case, the product must not be used for more than four consecutive days, given the possibility that unwanted effects may otherwise occur. Infections, pus, foreign bodies in the eye, mechanical, chemical, heat damage require medical attention. The product, although presenting poor systemic absorption, must be used with caution in patients suffering from hypertension, hyperthyroidism, cardiac disorders and hyperglycemia (diabetes) and in subjects undergoing treatment with antidepressant drugs. For those who carry out sporting activities: the use of the drug unnecessarily constitutes doping and can still result in positive anti-doping tests. May cause eye irritation. Avoid contact with soft contact lenses. Remove contact lenses before application and wait at least 15 minutes before reapplying them. The bleaching action on soft contact lenses is known. Carefully follow the recommended doses. If accidentally ingested or if used for a long period in excessive doses, the product can cause toxic phenomena. If you do not obtain relief within 48 hours of starting treatment, discontinue use and carry out a thorough ophthalmological examination. Pediatric population VISUSTRIN should be kept out of the reach of children as accidental ingestion can cause severe sedation. Safety and effectiveness in children have not been established. Use in children over three years of age should be evaluated by a doctor.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
In pregnant or breastfeeding women, the medicine should be administered in cases of real need, under the direct supervision of a doctor.
Expiration and conservation
To be stored at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.
Interactions with other drugs
Not known.
Overdose
In case of overdose, suspend treatment and start appropriate therapy.
Active principles
10 ml of eye drops contain: Active ingredient: tetrizoline hydrochloride 10 mg. For the full list of excipients, see section 6.1.
