Therapeutic indications
Cleaning and disinfection of intact or not severely damaged skin (superficial small wounds); antisepsis of the hands. It can be used for the preparation of the operating field.
Dosage and method of use
Apply to the directly affected and surrounding skin area with a soaked cotton swab or gauze, as needed. Repeat the operation 2-3 times a day. For hand antisepsis: wash repeatedly with 5-6 ml of product for at least 1 minute. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients listed in section 6.1.
Side effects
The occurrence of intolerance (burning or irritation) is possible. Special warnings
The product is for external use only. The use, especially if prolonged, of products for local use, can give rise to hypersensitization phenomena, in this case interrupt the treatment and institute a suitable therapy. Do not use for prolonged treatments. Ingestion or inhalation can lead to serious, sometimes fatal consequences. Avoid contact with eyes. Avoid exposure to ultraviolet rays (sun or artificial sources) after applying the product. Important information about some of the ingredients This medicinal product contains 4.88 g of alcohol (ethanol) in 100 ml of solution, which is equivalent to 4.88% w / v. It can cause a burning sensation on damaged skin. Septidil contains essence based on bergamot, in turn containing geraniol, citral, limonene, linalool. Geraniol, citral, limonene and linalool can cause allergic reactions.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
There are no restrictions on use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Expiration and retention
Store in the original package to protect the medicine from light.
Interactions with other drugs
Avoid the simultaneous use of other antiseptics and / or detergents.
Overdose
Under normal conditions of use no overdose damage has been reported. Accidental ingestion can cause nausea and vomiting. Symptoms of intoxication resulting from the ingestion of significant quantities of quaternary ammonium compounds include dyspnoea, cyanosis, asphyxia, resulting from paralysis of the respiratory muscles, CNS depression, hypotension and coma. In humans the lethal dose is approx. 1-3 g. Treatment of poisoning is symptomatic: administer soothing agents if necessary. Avoid emesis and gastric lavage.
