ODM5 Ophthalmic Solution 10 ml: Drops for Corneal Edema

Preservative-free hyperosmolar ophthalmic solution. It is recommended for reducing post-operative and post-traumatic corneal edema, as well as those due to corneal dystrophy. Corneal edema occurs when the cornea has an abnormal accumulation of fluid.
The ODM 5 hypersaline solution uses osmosis to draw excess fluid out of the cornea, allowing it to temporarily regain optimal hydration. ODM 5 thus helps improve vision quality.
Contains sodium hyaluronate, a component naturally present in the eye, which helps protect the cornea thanks to its lubricating properties.

Wash your hands thoroughly before instilling.
Before using for the first time, check that the safety ring is intact and then remove it. Remove the protective cap by pulling upward. Place the bottle over your eye, with the tip pointing down. Hold the bottle in the center with your thumb and forefinger. Gently squeeze the bottle, applying progressive force with your thumb and forefinger, until a drop of ophthalmic solution appears.
Instill 1-2 drops 4 times a day, as prescribed by your doctor. Instill the drops into the lower conjunctival sac of the eye, looking upward and gently pulling down the lower eyelid. After instillation, keep the eye closed for 1-2 minutes.
Replace the protective cap after each use, making sure that no residual drops remain on the tip; if necessary, remove any with a firm movement of the wrist.
Avoid contact of the tip of the bottle with the eye and eyelids.
No need to rinse after use.

Sodium chloride 5%, sodium hyaluronate 0.15%. Other ingredients: purified water, sodium citrate dihydrate, citric acid monohydrate, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose.

Do not ingest.
Do not use the bottle if it is damaged.
Do not use after the expiration date printed on the bottle. Close the bottle tightly after each use, making sure no residual drops remain at the tip.
Avoid contact of the bottle tip with your hands, eyes, and eyelids. Avoid touching or wiping the tip with your fingers or a non-sterile tissue.
If your doctor has prescribed another eye drop, leave at least 15 minutes between one instillation and the next.
Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
Contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to one of the components and in case of contact lenses (ODM 5 is not compatible with contact lenses).
In some cases, transient discomfort such as a mild burning or itching sensation, as well as temporary blurred vision, may occur during instillation. If side effects persist or if you experience side effects not described in the package insert, discontinue use and consult a doctor.

Store at room temperature (between +2°C and +25°C).
Shelf life after opening: 3 months.
