The test provides a preliminary result; A more specific alternative chemical method should be used to obtain a confirmatory analytical result. The preferred confirmation method is Gas Chromatography / Mass Spectometry (GC / MS). Clinical consideration and professional judgment will be required for any drug of abuse test result, especially if the preliminary results are positive.
How to useSample collection and preparation• Wash your hands with mild soap and warm water. Open the sealed pouch and remove the test.
• Open the lid of the container and urinate directly inside. The volume of the sample should exceed the minimum urine level. Plug the container.
Carrying out the testThe test must be at room temperature (10 ° C-30 ° C).
1. After the urine has been collected, plug the container and place it on a flat surface.
2. Lift the label from right to left and read the result within 5 minutes. Do not read the results beyond 5 minutes.
Interpretation of the resultsPOSITIVE (+)A pinkish band is visible in each control zone. No colored bands appear in the specific test area. This indicates a positive drug result corresponding to that specific area.
NEGATIVE (-)A pinkish band is visible in each control zone in the specific test zone. This indicates that the drug concentration corresponding to that test zone is zero or below the test detection limit.
NOTHINGIf no colored band is visible in any of the control zones or if it is visible only in the test zones, the test is null. Another test will need to be performed to reassess the sample.
No meaning is attached to the intensity of the color or the width of the line.
Limits1. This test was developed for urine specimens only. The performance of this assay using different samples has not been demonstrated.
2. Adulterated urine samples may produce erroneous results. Strong oxidizing agents such as bleach (hypochlorite) can oxidize drug analysis. If a specimen is suspected of being adulterated, collect a new specimen.
3. This test is a quality control. It is not designed to determine the quantitative concentration of drugs or the level of intoxication.
4. It is possible that technical or procedural errors, as well as other substances that interfere with the urine sample, may cause erroneous results.
5. A negative result does not necessarily indicate drug-free urine. Negative results may also be obtained when the drug is present but below the cut-off level of the test.
6. The test result does not distinguish between drugs of abuse and certain medications.
7. Some foods or supplements can cause positive results.
