Main function of the Medical Device

The medical device limits the movement of the knee.

Characteristics

Universal knee brace with 3 panels adaptable to lower limbs of different circumferences.

Two rigid, moldable lateral splints and a double, pre-molded and moldable posterior splint to ensure immobilization in 0° extension and stability in varus-valgus.

4 adjustable straps with opposing closures.

Internal strap to facilitate correct positioning.

Non-slip silicone inner insert.

Available in heights of 50 cm, 60 cm and 70 cm.

Remember to take the measurement so that the ends of the brace fall within areas A (upper 1/3 of the thigh) and B (lower 1/3 of the leg)

How to wear it

Unfold the brace after undoing the straps with the Velcro fasteners.

In a lying position, wrap the strap over the knee and close it with the Velcro fastener. Then wrap the brace around the lower limb so that the knee is aligned with the central opening. If necessary, detach and reposition the two side panels to fit the leg snugly.

Tighten the straps starting with those closest to the knee.

Warnings and precautions for use

Store in a dry place away from excessive heat and light.

Do not prolong use of the product without the advice of your doctor.

The product is designed for use by a single person; do not use it on multiple people.

The product should not be used in direct contact with broken skin.

Do not use in case of allergies or hypersensitivity to the product components.

If you experience any problems using the product, such as the appearance of pain or obvious local signs, remove it and contact a healthcare professional.

In case of serious accident following use of the product, contact the manufacturer and the local healthcare professional.

When adjusting the straps, tighten them so that they are firm but comfortable.

The brace should not be used if relative or absolute immobilization or surgery is required.

It is advisable, the first time, to have the product positioned by a qualified operator and to carry out subsequent positioning independently using the same methods.

Washing instructions

Hand wash in warm water with mild soap or detergent, rinse well, wring out gently, and lay flat to dry. Do not bleach, tumble dry, iron, or dry clean.

Disposal instructions

The product must be disposed of in compliance with current regulations.
