Blood glucose test strips for use with Bayer Contour XT, Contour Next, Contour Next usb and Contour Next Link.
They use a small amount of blood (0.6 µL) which is automatically aspirated by capillarity within the reactive end of the strip: after a 5-second countdown, the glucose concentration present in the blood sample automatically appears on the display. The glucose in the blood sample reacts with the FAD glucose dehydrogenase (FAD-GDH) and mediator, generating an electron flow that produces a current proportional to the glucose concentration in the sample. CONTOUR NEXT strips allow glucose determination in both capillary whole blood and venous blood.
