Therapeutic indications
Treatment of conjunctivitis of a toxic, allergic and spring nature, with a subacute and chronic course.
Dosage and method of use
1-2 drops in the conjunctival fornix four times a day. Before use make sure that the single-dose container is intact. Visuglican in single-dose container should only be used immediately after opening. Any residue must not be used. Avoid letting the tip of the container come into contact with the eye or any other surface.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients listed in section 6.1.
Side effects
Rarely, irritation and burning phenomena have been reported. In these cases it is advisable to stop the treatment. (see section 4.3) Cases of corneal calcification have been reported very rarely associated with the use of phosphate-containing eye drops in patients with significantly damaged cornea. Reporting of suspected adverse reactions. Reporting of suspected adverse reactions that occur after authorization of the medicine is important, as it allows continuous monitoring of the benefit / risk ratio of the medicine. Special warnings
To be used under direct medical supervision. Do not use if the solution is not clear. Visuglican 10 ml bottle contains 6.50 mg disodium phosphate per 1 ml equivalent to 65 mg / 10 ml, and 2 mg monosodium phosphate per 1 ml equivalent to 20 mg / 10 ml. Visuglican single-dose contains 8.12 mg disodium phosphate per 1 ml equivalent to 4.06 mg / 0.5 ml and 4.5 mg monosodium phosphate per 1 ml equivalent to 2.25 mg / 0.5 ml.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
As with any drug, it is advisable, whenever possible, to avoid administration during the first trimester of pregnancy. If the use of this product is deemed essential in a nursing mother, the patient should discontinue breastfeeding.
Expiration and retention
Bottle: Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C. Single dose: keep the product away from heat sources.
Interactions with other drugs
There are no known interactions with other drugs. However, additive effects are possible when Visuglican is administered concomitantly with H 2 antagonists (cimetidine) and with corticosteroids.
Overdose
No overdose phenomena have been reported.
