OTOVENT 5 BALLOONS + 1 CANNULA FOR DRAINAGE AND EAR VENTILATION

Otovent

Description
Latex balloon for medical use, which must be inflated with the nose to balance the pressure inside the middle ear, to compensate and allow the eardrum membrane to function.
Practical device to maintain the efficiency of the Eustachian tube and the palatine veil and relieve some ailments, such as whistling, buzzing, sense of muffling and closing of the ears.
It is calibrated to exert a suitable and sufficient pressure to open the Eustachian tube and ventilate the middle ear.

How to use
Connect the balloon to the flat end of the nasal cannula. Hold the round part of the nasal cannula firmly against the left nostril with your left hand. Compress the right nostril using the right index finger.
Inhale deeply from the mouth, then close it and inflate the balloon from the left nostril, until it is the size of a grapefruit.
While continuing to keep the inflated balloon firmly pressed to the left nostril, swallow several times.
Repeat the procedure with the right nostril.
Some patients may experience ear discomfort during inflation. This sensation will diminish with the next inflation, indicating that the procedure is working correctly.

At the beginning of the treatment cycle, Otovent should be used at least three times a day (morning, noon, evening) with 1 inflation for each nostril. After a week, it should be used at least twice a day (morning and evening). The normal duration of treatment is 2-3 weeks, after which a doctor must decide whether the treatment should be continued or not.
For use in the event of an aerial flight, Otovent must be used as soon as the landing phase begins, with 3-4 inflations before the end of the descent.
For use before a dive or before a hyperbaric chamber treatment, Otovent can be used multiple times to relieve symptoms.

Maintenance
Clean the nasal cannula after use with a mild cleanser. Rinse the nasal cannula with warm water.
Each medical balloon can be inflated 20 times maximum. Throw away the balloons after inflating them a maximum of 20 times.

Warnings
The balloons contain latex. If you have an allergy to latex or products containing latex, consult your doctor before using the product.
If allergic symptoms appear, such as rash, itching, difficulty in breathing or swelling, stop the treatment and consult your doctor.
Keep out of reach of children.
Treatment of children should always take place under the supervision of an adult.
Never use toy balloons for the Otovent treatment, as these balloons do not provide the correct inflation pressure and can lead to treatment failure.
If you suffer from frequent minor nosebleeds, any manipulation of the nose (for example, picking your nose, blowing your nose or inflating the balloon) can cause bleeding. This condition is annoying but generally harmless.
If you experience severe dizziness with the use of Otovent, stop treatment and consult your doctor.

storage
Store in the original packaging. When not in use, protect the nasal cannula and balloons from light.
