LONTAX PRO is a nasal spray that forms a protective barrier on the nasal mucosa against cold viruses, a moist film that helps the body's natural defenses. LONTAX PRO can be used as a support for the prophylaxis and treatment of colds caused by viruses. LONTAX PRO can also be used to hydrate the nasal mucosa for preventive and prolonged purposes. It can be used in adults and children from 1 year of age. LONTAX PRO does not contain preservatives. A sterile filter ensures the sterility of the solution even after repeated use. LONTAX PRO is a clear, colorless and odorless viscous solution.
Colds are mainly caused by viruses. The nose is the most common route of infection for viruses. When viruses enter the nose, they can colonize the mucous membrane and infect its cells, multiplying and spreading. This causes typical cold symptoms, such as stuffy or runny nose, sore throat and / or headache, cough, etc. The physiological hydration of the nasal mucosa helps the body's natural defenses against viruses and environmental influences. The filter function of the nose, that is its ability to retain the particles present in the air we breathe (viruses, dust, etc.), can only be performed by a hydrated nasal mucosa, equipped with a healthy and functioning ciliated epithelium. A dry and irritated nasal mucosa can be caused by air pollution or by prolonged frequentation of places with low relative humidity of the air, such as heated or air-conditioned rooms, cars, trains or planes. Both factors, pollution and low air humidity, contribute to the dryness of the nasal mucosa. LONTAX PRO contains Carragelose with a double positive effect:
-LONTAX PRO forms a protective barrier against cold viruses. Colds and parainfluenza syndromes are caused by a notable variety of viruses, including rhinoviruses and coronaviruses. Carragelose® is able to bind cold viruses in a nonspecific way, preventing adhesion to the mucosa, and thus reducing the multiplication and spread of viruses that infect the respiratory tract.
-LONTAX PRO forms a moisturizing protective film. Thanks to the action of Carragelose, the film remains longer on the nasal mucosa and acts as a physical barrier against external agents. The film, ensuring physiological hydration, helps the body's natural defenses to repel cold viruses.
LONTAX PRO is indicated for the prophylaxis and supportive treatment of viral infections of the upper respiratory tract. LONTAX PRO is able to reduce the duration of colds and mitigate the severity of the symptoms. LONTAX PRO is able to reduce the onset of new infections and flare-ups of viral cold symptoms. LONTAX PRO can also be used for preventive purposes to hydrate the nasal mucosa in a prolonged way and, therefore, as a prophylaxis and support treatment for all ailments deriving from a dry and irritated nasal mucosa.

Components
1 ml of solution contains 1.2 mg of iota-carrageenan (Carragelose), sodium chloride and purified water. Carragelose is a natural active ingredient obtained from red marine algae.

How to use
At the first symptoms of cold infection (e.g. sore throat, itchy or runny nose, etc.) spray at least 3 times a day for each nostril. Start treatment as soon as possible at the onset of the first cold symptoms and continue until the symptoms have subsided. If a fever develops or there is no improvement after 1 week of treatment, consult a doctor.
To moisturize the dry nasal mucosa, apply the spray into the nose several times a day, according to individual needs.
-Remove the protective cap and, if necessary, operate the pump a few times until a uniform atomization is obtained. LONTAX PRO is now ready for use.
-To avoid injury, carefully insert the regulator into each nostril. Keep the bottle upright during application.
-After use, put the protective cap back on the dispenser.
