Macular B strong properties
Food supplement of folic acid, vitamin B2, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, vitamin E, lutein, zinc, copper, selenium and ginkgo biloba extract. These nutrients are able to antagonize the oxidative phenomena of free radicals that are at the basis of the aging and cell death processes and of vascular damage to the brain and various other organs. The daily diet does not always allow an appropriate intake of these substances and in the elderly the situation is aggravated by their reduced absorption. The increase in oxidative phenomena, especially those related to atmospheric pollution, smoke, exposure to sunlight and the reduced availability of specific antioxidant agents are the cause of an increase in degenerative pathologies affecting some ocular structures from the complex energy metabolism : the retina and in particular the macular area. It is in fact at this level that the light radiations come into contact with the photoreceptors, allowing vision. A correct antioxidant potential is therefore necessary in order to maintain the balance between oxidative and cellular processes at the retinal level. The components of MACULAR B forte act as normalizers of cellular physiological processes: Zinc and Copper They are involved in numerous enzymatic activities at the retinal level and are important in conjunction with age-related degenerations. Selenium and Vitamin E They are powerful antioxidants essential to slow down the cellular aging processes and, therefore, to prevent degenerative ones. Lutein It is a xanthophyll that concentrates electively in the retina thus becoming the pigment of the macula lutea where it carries out its protective action on the delicate macular structures from high-energy ultraviolet radiation. Ginkgo Biloba It is a plant extract with a high level of flavonoids to which important activities are also ascribed to the level of nervous tissues such as the retina. In addition to an antioxidant activity in lipoperoxidative processes, it plays a leading role in the context of the energy metabolism of the nerve cell and towards the aldose-reductase enzyme. Vitamins B2, B6, B12 and folic acid They are believed to be a valuable contribution to the control of the level of homocysteine in the blood. These vitamins are also useful for minimizing the risk of occlusion in the veins and arteries of the retina. It is also hypothesized that these vitamins have a direct antioxidant action. It does not contain gluten.
